Hallmark has invented another holiday. Have you been informed of "Sweetest Day"? October 21st. I expect something pretty.

In other news, Hubby, Rally Edition, was in the hospital. He's fine. He passed out on his game (he's a casino dealer too) and may have given himself a concussion. An hour later when he was at the quickcare, he was still disoriented, so they found that a good enough reason to send him to the hospital who in turn found that a good enough reason to admit him. He's double covered on insurance, so I figured we wouldn't get him out for a week or so. But it was just one full day and change... at least 10 hours more than he needed to be there...DAMN YOU AMERICAN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM!!!!

But he's fine. It was just one of those things. Now, if it happens again, we should be concerned. But for now... I guess we just chill, hang out, let God and all that.

It had happened sunday night/monday morning, and I don't usually check my messages while I'm at work, but I happened to that night. I get a message from his friend, "Hey, your husband's in the hospital-He's fine." Everyone in the break room at the time got an earful of "WHAT?????"

Anyway, I got out and en route to the hospital the hubby calls and tells me to go home first and get him a change of clothes plus to let the dog out since we didn't know how long we were going to be at the hospital. Dog was pissed when I put him back in his pen so soon after getting home. Hubby didn't know he was going to be admitted yet, but he expected to be there a couple of hours, so he wanted to be comfortable. So I got him clothes, went there, tagged his friend out so that he could go home, the doctor finally came in to give EKG reports but said he wanted the hubby to stay there for observation. So, hubby got to be wheeled up to a room, I got the picture on my camera. I hung out until about 6:30, then went back home to the dog.

Ok, here's the thing. Passing out is either absolutely nothing or something really bad. That drive home leaving the hubby at the hospital was HORRIBLE. Tears streaming down my face, my brain off and thinking about what COULD happen. SWEET JESUS!! HE'S ONLY 33!!!!! I mean, he's had hospital stays before but because of really terrible car accidents, but this was the first hospital stay due to just bodily deterioration. Your brain starts to think of "crap, just the first of many".

Then when I got home, my dog was having a really hard time walking. Did I tell you about his horrible surgeries last year? Well, his spinal pain is back. Hopefully it's just a flare up and not a new herniated disc.

So, yes, that day, I was at home, alone, husband at hospital PLUS dog in pain- I felt very, very small.
